There are different type of panties. We believe that you should own at least one of each type. Okay, we know some of us just don't do g-strings, it's not our thing. • Briefs rise to the waist, or just below the navel, and have full coverage in the rear. Brief can be classic, high cut or control brief.


• Boyshorts are styled after men's briefs and may have short legs extending below the crotch. Boy shorts offer more coverage than traditional panties or briefs, plus they have a sporty look. Some boyshorts are very sexy - and made with flirty, frilly, or sheer material.


• Hipsters are similar to briefs, but are worn lower down the body, with the waistband around the hips.


• Bikinis sit at hip level, like the Hipsters, but the fabric of the side sections is narrower. Bikinis offer more coverage than a thong, but less coverage than a brief. With the string bikini type, the side sections disappear altogether and the waistband consists of only string-like material. There are also high cut and low cut bikini style panties.

• The G-string is a thong with virtually no rear coverage and the narrow strip at the back extends to the waistband. This type exposes the vast majority of the buttocks.

How To Trash Your Old Underwear

For most of us, trashing underwear has to be one of the most difficult activities we’re faced with in our everyday lives. And that’s saying a lot considering that on average, we are faced with some pretty difficult activities daily. What with the average Nigerian living on less than a dollar and all. But I digress. I’m not going to talk about economic situations we’re faced with as individuals, I’m here to talk about the most common situations we’re faced with everyday but have no idea we are in a stitch or we do have an idea but we don’t know how to get out of it. I’m here to tell you, there is a way people! I’m here to show you; How you can trash your old underwear!

Now before you skip to the end of this article thinking this is not for you ‘cause you don’t have any old underwear, let me take your mind on a ‘brief’ journey through your underwear drawer or bag. Do you have any draws that “draws” down when you wear them like you’re carrying a sack of potatoes with your backside? How about the one that’s had all the elastic pulled out so you have to tie it at the side to stay in place? Or that pair of undies that just sits with the others but you never wear it and you can’t think of giving it away ‘cause you’ve had it for so long and it’s practically family? Well, my friends, if any of these sounds like you, you definitely have old, ‘trashable’ underwear and I’m here to tell you safe and easy ways to get rid of them.

• First, trashing your underwear in the bin may seem hard and for people who believe it could be picked up by just anyone and used for ritual purposes, it may also seem impossible. But it’s also still one of the easiest ways to get rid of old undies. So instead of just throwing it in a bag and dumping it in the bin, you could try cutting it up into tiny bits. That way, it decomposes faster and no one would have any use for torn up underwear. You should also cut off the elastic waistband and other similar parts from you underwear as synthetic materials don’t decompose and that could be hazardous to the environment. It’s important to be conscious of safeguarding our environment when disposing of old undies whether by composting them or burning them all together. It should be done in a safe way that doesn’t harm and destroy natural resources.


• Second, if tearing up underwear isn’t your thing, you could try donating them to charities that give clothes and provisions to less privileged. But this should be done only with underwear in good condition, or at least fairly good condition. You could find out about centres around you that you could donate your old undies to.


• Finally, you could cut up your old underwear and use it as filling for upholstery or for easy-to-do crafts like quilting. It’s fun and you could get a few of your friends who also have trouble with trashing underwear to join in.

Trashing old underwear can be a bane sometimes. I know. I have over 50 pairs of undies just waiting to be sorted out from my undies bag. And so, when trashing our old underwear, one key thing to note is that we should do it in a way that doesn’t harm our environment.

And for some of you who find it difficult to just let go of our old undies, look at it this way: Out with the old, In with the new. You gotta get rid of your old stuff to have space for the new. Happy Sortin’!

Beth and Flora entered a lingerie store to buy some underwear. Flora’s eyes caught a beautiful bra set hung on the rack. She made a quick check on it, only to discover it was not her size, so disappointing. She later approached the shop attendant, who asked:

“May I know you bra size please?”……….Flora replied, “36C”. Checking the bra on the rack, the size was a 34D. She was surprised when the attendant told her about sister sizes, she advised her to try the bra on, which eventually fitted her perfectly.

What is Sister Sizing? Well, let me try my best to explain it to you. Every women “actual bra size” would have a sister size. A sister size is a related bra size with the same cup volume of each other. One's sister size could, in theory, be used as a substitute for one's true size.

Here are few tips to get a correct sister sizes:

• Go down a sister size: Go down a band size, but take your cup size up one interval. For instance, you might go from a 36 C to a 34 D.


• Go up a sister size: Increase your band size, but go down one cup size. For instance, you might go from a 36 C to a 38 B.
